Beyond Joint Disease: Autoantibodies and the Risk of Interstitial Lung Disease in Rheumatoid Arthritis
Online
Join us for the next speaker in Werfen's ongoing Autoimmunity Speaker Series. While autoantibody testing plays a central role in the diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis (RA), emerging evidence suggests that specific autoantibody profiles may also provide important information about disease manifestations beyond the joints. In this webinar, Jeffrey A. Sparks, MD, MMSc will outline autoantibodies currently used in clinical practice and review novel biomarkers associated with RA-related interstitial lung disease (RA-ILD), including those linked to the usual interstitial pneumonia (UIP) pattern. The session will highlight the evolving role of laboratory testing in disease characterization and risk stratification.
Jeffrey A. Sparks, MD, MMSc will:
- Outline autoantibodies currently used clinically to diagnose rheumatoid arthritis.
- Review novel autoantibodies that may be associated with interstitial lung disease in rheumatoid arthritis.
- Summarize autoantibodies associated with the usual interstitial pneumonia (UIP) pattern of interstitial lung disease in individuals with rheumatoid arthritis.
