JOB DESCRIPTION: Technical Sales Specialist - Transplant

Job Summary

Responsible for all sales activities, from lead generation through close and for pre and post sales technical support to customers for Transplant products within the UK and Ireland territory (with a focus on North UK and Ireland).  Manage quality and consistency of product and service delivery for the achievement of customer satisfaction, revenue generation and long-term account goals in line with company vision and values.

Key Accountabilities

  • Responsible for the commercial results of the assigned territory (responsibility for minimum year revenues and profitability agreed with the Sales Manager, UK & Ireland as well as price and discounting strategies).
  • Assure the promotion and development of products and services.
  • Perform any administrative task entrusted to them about the assigned territory (contract negotiations and tender activity as required).
  • Guarantee customer satisfaction and retention through continuing education on optimisation of equipment utilisation by customer.
  • Propose improvements of products or new services to comply with the customer on prospect’s requirements.
  • Collect and analyser market feedback and transfer to relevant parts of the organisation (marketing, R&D, etc).
  • Provide pre and post sales technical assistance to customers (complaint handling included).
  • Stay current in product, market and competitors.
  • Perform all work activities in compliance with Company Policies and Code of Conduct, local procedures and regulations.
  • Identify and prioritise sales opportunities, formulating commercial strategies and developing business plans for the customers in the assigned territory.
  • Monitor strategy execution as well as competitive tactics and strategies.  Formulate alternative tactics and strategics.
  • Monitor sales target per tender awarded on a regular basis and set up an action plan, in case of below expectation margins.
  • Learn and utilise sales material and continuously improve product knowledge.
  • Manage and supervise customers services through quality checks and any kind of appropriate follow up.
  • Perform at the new customers site all required training on Immucor products and instruments, to guarantee customer knowledge and ability to use our system at the best.
  • Identify and resolve client concerns.
  • Provide pre and post sales technical assistance, to accomplish the work required to close sales and to guarantee a high-quality field service.
  • Perform any needed investigation (by phone or on site) and any needed corrective maintenance in order to fix all customer complaints.
  • Prepare a variety of status reports, including activity, closings, follow up and adherence to goals (CRM).
  • Communication new product and services opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff.
  • Monitor and report competitor’s activity and competitor’s products.
  • Assist in the implementation of company marketing plans as needed.
  • Document all work activities according to the relevant quality regulations, using the up-to-date form and keeping the due records.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and Code of Conduct.
  • Attend local trade shows, congresses and workshops.
  • Any other duties which the job holder may reasonably be asked to perform.

Minimum Knowledge & Experience required for the position:

Batchelors level degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in an applicable role, with a minimum of 3 years employment experience in a related position.  Proficient computer skills, including Work, Excel, Powerpoint, SAP and other corporate tools.
