Field Service Engineer (FSE)

Job Summary

We are a company leader in the Instrumentation for Science and Technology. Our Technical Service Specialists and Field Service Engineers are essential to ensure the company growth and to keep our market leadership, providing the highest quality service to our clients. As a FSE, you will be responsible for providing field service support in your assigned area and for being the contact person with the specialists of the manufacturers for technical issues.

Key Accountabilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, repair and/or installation of instruments at customer site, including electrical and mechanical testing, in accordance with maintenance contracts.
• Perform operational training to the clients after the installation.
• Diagnose system failures and implement the best solution.
• For interventions of high complexity, coordinate with the specialist to solve the service call in the most efficient way.
• Inform the clients about new products and contribute to develop service agreements.
• Support marketing activities such as exhibitions.

Minimum Knowledge & Experience required for the position:

• Flexible, structured and a real team player, capable to work autonomously.
• Professional qualification or a bachelor’s degree in science areas(electronics, mechanical engineering, physics, biomedical engineering…).
• Knowledge of electricity, electronics and/or IT.
• Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in service
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills
• Fluent Spanish and English.
• Availability to travel across Spain (30% of their time)

Travel requirements:

• Availability to travel across Spain and Portugal (20% - 40% of their time)
