Overview

Job Summary

This role ensures the efficient, secure, and user-friendly operation of endpoint devices and workplace technologies across the organization. The Workplace Engineer is responsible for the full lifecycle management of devices, including automation, security, and support. This position directly contributes to improving operational efficiency, enhancing the digital employee experience, and ensuring workplace technology readiness for all business functions. The role plays a key part in driving standardization, automation, and compliance in the digital workplace environment.

Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities

• Ensure the effective management and optimization of endpoint devices, including laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and peripherals, across the organization.

• Administer and enhance Microsoft Intune and Autopilot services for device enrollment, configuration, compliance, and security management.

• Automate and streamline device provisioning, software deployment, and patch management to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual workload.

• Manage endpoint security measures, including Microsoft Defender, BitLocker, and security baselines, ensuring compliance with corporate policies.

• Support hardware lifecycle management, including procurement, deployment, inventory tracking, maintenance, and asset disposal.

• Provide advanced technical support (Level 2/3) for device-related issues, ensuring high user satisfaction and minimal business disruption.

• Collaborate with global and regional IT teams to align workplace solutions with corporate standards and global initiatives.

• Optimize the digital workplace experience by improving performance, usability, and reliability of workplace technologies.

• Partner with vendors and external service providers to manage hardware and software contracts and services.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for device configurations, standards, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines.

Qualifications

Minimum Knowledge & Experience required for the position:

•Minimum of 5 years of experience in endpoint management, digital workplace technologies, or related IT operations roles.

•Proven expertise in Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, and Windows 10/11 environments.

•Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, BitLocker, and other endpoint protection tools.

•Hands-on experience with automation tools and scripting languages such as PowerShell.

•Solid understanding of hardware lifecycle management processes.

•Experience supporting hybrid IT environments (on-premises and cloud).

Skills & Capabilities:

•Strong technical, analytical, and troubleshooting skills in identity and collaboration systems.

•Advanced scripting and automation skills.

•Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication capabilities.

•Ability to independently manage complex projects and technical initiatives.

•Focus on security, compliance, and risk management.

•Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and process rigor.

•Fluent in English (written and spoken).

•Desirable: Knowledge of IT Service Management platforms such as ServiceNow.

Travel requirements:

Occasional travel may be required for global initiatives, integration projects, workshops, or team meetings.
