Overview

Job Summary

This role combines advanced technical application expertise with strong clinical and scientific leadership to enhance the value and adoption of Werfen’s transplant portfolio across Europe. Acting as a strategic bridge between affiliates, KOLs, and cross-functional teams, the role drives customer support excellence, impactful education, and clinical marketing initiatives. It also leads the generation of value-based evidence to reinforce brand visibility, market growth, and strategic leadership.

Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities

1.Technical & Application Support

  • Act as second-level technical, scientific, and application support for the Transplant portfolio across all European affiliates, providing advanced guidance and troubleshooting expertise.
  • Manage complaint and non-complaint cases for all products within the Transplant portfolio, ensuring thorough investigation, effective resolution, and accurate documentation. Manage and coordinate testing activities within the Customer Satisfaction Lab.
  • Provide technical assistance to support the completion of sales processes and ensure a high-quality after-sales service.
  • Initiate and monitor corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) where appropriate, ensuring timely implementation.
  • Maintain continuous communication with affiliates to ensure consistent technical, clinical, and commercial alignment.
  • Enhance customer support excellence by promoting best practices, tools, and standardized processes across the region.
  • Contribute to User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new product releases, ensuring readiness for launch.

2.Clinical & Scientific Leadership

  • Provide clinical expertise and strategic guidance on the integration and use of Transplant solutions within clinical workflows.
  • Work closely with KOLs, affiliates, Scientific Affairs and Market Access to design and coordinate clinical studies and real-world use cases demonstrating the scientific, clinical, and economic value of Werfen’s solutions.
  • Establish, strengthen, and expand relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and scientific societies across Europe to drive clinical adoption and enhance brand visibility.
  • Identify and engage the next generation of KOLs and Key Decision Makers (KDMs) to secure long-term scientific leadership and advocacy.
  • Collaborate with several stakeholders to ensure that products meet clinical needs and deliver optimal performance.

3.Education & Training

  • Design, develop, and deliver highly specialized training programs for internal teams (sales, marketing, application specialists, etc).
  • Ensure all training materials and documentation are current, accurate, and aligned with official product instructions for use.
  • Support customer training sessions and product demonstrations upon affiliate request, ensuring effective knowledge transfer and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop a comprehensive educational offering for healthcare professionals, including workshops, webinars, and digital learning modules, to enhance product and clinical understanding and engagement.

4.Marketing & Strategic Contribution

  • Lead the design and implementation of the European marketing strategy for our Transplant solutions.
  • Drive brand awareness and value-proposition initiatives, leveraging clinical data, KOL insights, and customer feedback.
  • Collaborate closely with corporate and affiliate teams to ensure seamless integration of marketing, clinical, and technical objectives across the commercial network.
  • Lead and manage internal projects independently, ensuring timely delivery and measurable business impact.
  • Promote compliance with the Werfen Code of Ethics and all applicable regulatory and quality standards in all activities.

Qualifications

Minimum Knowledge & Experience required for the position

  • Education & Experience
  • Advanced degree in Biomedical Sciences, Immunology, or related field; specialization in HLA / histocompatibility / transplant highly preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the IVD, transplant, or immunogenetics field, ideally in roles combining clinical, technical, and marketing responsibilities.
  • Technical Competence
  • Deep understanding of transplant diagnostics, HLA typing, antibody testing, and related workflows.
  • Strong knowledge of clinical applications, assay interpretation, and lab operations.
  • Experience with health economics, clinical evidence generation, and case study development is a plus.
  • Proficient in complaint management systems and customer satisfaction testing.

  • Ability to translate complex clinical and technical concepts into value-driven marketing and training strategies.
