JOB DESCRIPTION: SW TEST LEADER

 

Title of position: SW Test Leader

Name of Department: Quality Assurance

This position reports to: SW Test Manager

Number of direct reports (and total number of team members) reporting to this position: 0

Position Summary

A Test Leader manages the test activities for a project, alone or with a team of testers.

The role coordinates the work of the team with the Project Manager.

The role receives support and supervision by the Test Manager.

Key Accountabilities

  • Definition of software verification and validation plan following the procedures and company Quality System.
  • Review of specifications and design.
  • Planning, allocation and control testing activities of the project, including safety risks and cyber-security testing
  • Review results of test and prepare reporting.
  • Generation of metrics.
  • Testing tasks Implementation/support, as needed: test definition, running, reporting results.
  • Defect handling and reporting.

Min Knowledge & Experience required for the position:

  • Education:
    • Engineer, computer Science or other Technical degree, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience:
    • At least 2 years as SW Test Engineer.
  • Additional Skills/Knowledge:
    • Software Engineering Process knowledge.
    • Knowledge of Agile methodologies (SCRUM).
    • Scripting or coding experience (.NET desirable).
    • IT knowledge for Test Environment setup.

Desirable:

  • Healthcare regulation knowledge and Software Quality courses/certifications
  • Test automation experience (REST-API testing using POSTMAN)
  • Cyber-security
