Position Summary:

Prepares and analyzes the financial statements submitted for consolidation. Administers the SAP system in the finance area and will maintain the General Ledger. Reconciles certain balance sheet accounts and is the liaison with other financial groups to ensure accurate, efficient reporting.

Key Accountabilities

Essential Functions:

• Analyzes and prepare monthly reporting package both legal and functional.
• Analyzes and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
• Participates in the year-end financial audit by preparing schedules and providing additional financial data and information.
• Maintains SAP General Ledger database by adding accounts or departments, creating or modifying reporting structures as required and extending the use of time saving functionality.
• Spearheads special projects to improve the monthly close, reengineer processes to reduce time and cost and/or increase accuracy and quality.
• May supervise lower level accounting staff

Qualifications

Minimum Knowledge & Experience Required for the Position:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field 5 years of experience in a professional environment in an accounting/finance position
• Familiarity with spreadsheet analysis, Windows environments and mainframe or platform-based software
• SAP experience preferred
