Overview
The Product Manager is the bridge between business and science who defines and implements strategies addressed to market requirements for the product menu. Performs product management of a dedicated product line. Prepares a marketing support program for a specific product, product line, or product area. Coordinates its implementation with technical service, logistics, contracting services, distribution partners and sales organization. Provides marketing assistance to field personnel and customers.
Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities
Act as key marketing technical liaison on all product lines, providing product and regulatory information to sales, service and customers
Provide first level, remote and on-site technical, applications, operations and regulatory support to critical and key customer accounts, assisting them with the integration of systems in their laboratories
Plan and implement strategies for a specific product, product line, or product area, including portfolio management
Oversee and monitor the budget of the product line or product area
Interface with all levels of management to independently resolve conflicts/problems with company peers
Contact with Suppliers regarding product issues, incidences and updates.
Attend to meetings and Distributor meetings/courses.
Maintain regular communications with technical services on problems with instruments and reagents within the product line
Provide detailed technical training for sales staff; works with field sales staff to develop training requirements and sales tools required to introduce new products and sales campaigns for all or part of product line
Provide presentations to customers
Prepare and coordinate marketing support programs
Contribute to planning and creation of advertising and promotional materials; writes technical bulletins and newsletters
Keep informed about developments in medical instrumentation/diagnostic industry as
they apply to the company’s future marketing plans
Understand all maintenance, performance, and advantages of Werfen products
Understand technical aspects of Werfen and competitive products
Continuously benchmark competitors in terms of pricing, promotions, and other relevant factors
Monitor field test and marketing introduction programs
Manage and drives internal projects with minimal supervision
Ensure compliance with Werfen Code of Ethics

Qualifications
Minimum Knowledge & Experience required for the position
Education
Bachelor´s Degree in Medicine (MD), Microbiology, Pharmacology, Medical Technology or related clinical discipline, desired in infectious diseases
Additional degree in business administration, marketing, or equivalent preferred
PhD valuable
Experience
Experience in ITS/HPV or infectious diseases is a must.
Minimum three years’ experience in either hospital (or healthcare facilities), IVD
laboratory or pharmacy
Experience related with clinical microbiology laboratory
Experience related with ER, ICU and primary care valuable
Additional Skills/Knowledge
