Job Summary

The Product Manager supports the Marketing Manager to define strategic positioning of product portfolio and connectivity solutions for Acute Care Diagnostics (ACDx) portfolio.

He/She supports the implemention and management of ACDx projects in cooperation with Sales And Post-Sales teams within Werfen and Distribution Partners.

He/She acts as a reference person for internal and external stakeholders for marketing and clinical/scientific activities across EEMEAI territories for the business line of responsibility. He/She will aim to educate and train the commercial teams on product positioning, segmentation, targeting, differentiation from competitors and implementation of Werfen solutions across EEMEAI territories.

 

Key Accountabilities

•        Support the Marketing Manager to define, develop and implement an ACDx marketing plan and deploy marketing tools for the Werfen solutions in the EEMEAI region and be a first level support for distributors on locally adapting the marketing plans.

•        Launch products and solutions in line with the company strategies, define pricing recommendation, and implement the tactical marketing activities in coordination with the Marketing team.

•        Provide all necessary and updated marketing information and tools (eg. presentations, health economic tools, etc.) to affiliates, channel managers, distributors, specialized KAMs and customer support to assist them in achieving the business objectives.

•        Provide product and market updates within EEMEAI department.

•        Collect data on competitive information in collaboration with all stakeholders in EEMEAI with the objective of analyzing, mapping and communicating the summary of findings in order to improve the positioning and increase product penetration.

•        Collect scientific information in non-Werfen scientific events (Congresses, Seminars, Symposia...) to identify and engage with Key Opinion Leaders, scientific information that reinforce the product value and innovative scientific trends.

•        Plan, organize (in collaboration with Communication Team), promote and actively participate in Werfen sponsored scientific events (Congresses, Seminars, Symposia, etc.) to strengthen the scientific knowledge, image and establish the Werfen solutions as the standard of patient diagnostic management.

•        Collect EEMEAI market needs and brainstorm solutions to be suggested to Werfen SBU proposing product improvements, modifications and new developments.

•        Design, plan, organize and facilitate education in partnership with Clinical Specialist  on product and scientific education programs for EEMEAI stakeholders.

•        Co-facilitate the Application Training Program taking care of scientific, clinical and competitive aspects.

•        Collaborate with the channel managers and KAMs, advising in most suitable product solution.

•        Consult the scientific literature with respect to our products and those of competitors.

•        Support the development of a network of Key Opinion Leaders in the areas of responsibility.

 

Networking/Key relationships

·Internal: Marketing Team (Werfen Affiliates + SBU) - Channel Management Team- Key Account Management Team – Customer Support Department – Communication Office - Order Office – Supply Chain – EEMEAI colleagues in all Affiliates.

·External: Customers – Prospective Customers – Distributors – Key Opinion Leaders – Subject Matter Experts.

 

Minimum Knowledge & Experience required for the position

·Education: Degree in scientific disciplines, possibly followed by a Master or postgraduate course in Marketing.

·Experience:

o   At least 3-year work experience in medical practice and/or business related experience in an IVD, Medical Device or Pharmaceutical industry is strongly preferred.

o   Previous experience as Laboratory or Point of Care Testing Manager or clinical experience will be considered a plus.

·Additional Skills/Knowledge:

o   Strong knowledge of Marketing

o   Strong laboratory, point-of-care testing, clinical or scientific background is a plus

o   Knowledge and competence on Project Management

o   Knowledge of basic principles of HTA / Health Economics

o   IT skills: Microsoft Office, SAP

o   Language: fluent English is a must
