Overview
The Planning Global Process Owner (GPO) plays a critical role in shaping how Planning contributes to Werfen’s business performance. This role acts as the global architect, orchestrator and capability builder of Planning processes, ensuring standardized, scalable and future‑ready ways of working across regions, markets and divisions. By driving stabilization, harmonization and continuous innovation, the GPO enables better decision‑making, improved customer service,optimized cash flow and sustainable cost efficiency. Being change leader, the GPO engages,inspires and empowers global community members to provide input to a continuous improvement process, fostering best‑practice sharing and end‑to‑end process excellence
Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities
1. Global Process Ownership & Governance
• Act as the global owner and guardian of end‑to‑end Planning processes, ensuring clarity,
consistency and health across the organization.
• Define, maintain and continuously evolve global standards, SOPs and methodologies,
ensuring compliance with regulatory and corporate requirements.
• Ensure process outcomes are aligned with Supply Chain and company strategic objectives.
2. Process Design, Innovation & Transformation
• Design and continuously improve simple, customer‑centric and best‑in‑class Planning
processes.
• Drive process‑related innovation leveraging SAP, analytics and emerging AI capabilities.
• Lead the integration of new tools and ways of working into Planning processes, ensuring
scalability and adoption.
3. Community, Capability & Knowledge Development
• Build and lead global Planning process communities across regions and functions.
• Develop state‑of‑the‑art knowledge, capabilities and reference materials within the
organization.
• Oversee the creation and maintenance of training content and learning paths related to
Planning processes.
4. Change Leadership & Implementation
• Drive process implementation, adherence and change management across the organization.
• Engage, inspire and empower stakeholders to actively contribute to continuous improvement
• Ensure effective handover of process changes to Regional and Local Planning teams.
5. Cross‑functional Collaboration & Benchmarking
• Work cross‑functionally with key stakeholders across Supply Chain, IT, Commercial, Analytics,
PMO, Finance, Manufacturing, Service, Logistics and Customer Service.
• Benchmark Planning processes against industry peers and translate insights into tangible business improvements.
Qualifications
Minimum Knowledge & Experience required for the position:
This role requires a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business
administration, engineering or a related field.
This role requires at least five years’ experience in Planning related activities, including at least
one to two years’ prior leadership/managerial experience.
Speaks fluent English. Spanish highly recommended and other languages will be a plus
