Overview
Job Summary
Direct responsibility for securing and managing the corporate relationships and agreements within assigned Provincial Purchasing Groups, LIHNs, Group Purchasing Organizations, Reference Laboratories, and other key accounts as determined by the Business Unit Director and/or VP of Commercial Operations. Within Canada, the individual is responsible for direct sales of company products and services. The individual will contribute to the attainment of individual, national, and company goals and objectives.
Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities
- Achieves Business Unit sales, profit and share growth objectives within Canada
- Prepares strategic plans to build long term partnerships within targeted Health Authorities, LIHN's, Group Purchasing Organizations, Reference Laboratories, and other key national and provincial accounts.
- Develops and implements the plan of action for meeting these objectives, acting as the overall project lead to coordinate activities across internal Werfen departments and teams.
- Clinical and Sales Expert for their business unit specific business line. Demonstrates a comprehensive clinical understanding of all products and disease states. Performs product presentations, demonstrating expert-level knowledge.
- Negotiates and maintains Corporate Agreements for all Business Unit products.
- Conducts regular business reviews with customers to ensure customer satisfaction, address issues and identify additional partnership opportunities.
- Responsible for Key Opinion Leader development and management
- Identifies new sales opportunities and expand usage within current customer base.
- Provides market intelligence for the Sales organization.
- Responsible for complying with all ISO mandated policies, procedures, and instructions.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

- North America Commercial Operations
- Field Based network to include but not limited to Sales Consultants, Field Service Engineers, and Application Consultants
- Provincial Health Authority Senior Leaders and KOL development
- Key customer clinical contacts in the Lab and Point of Care
Qualifications
Minimum Knowledge & Experience for the position:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business and/or a scientific discipline or equivalent experience required. Experience: Minimum of 3 years prior sales experience (medical and/or capital sales preferred) or equivalent business experience.
