Overview
Job Summary
The Patient Blood Management (PBM) Clinical Manager is responsible for managing a team of PBM Specialists to achieve the US ROTEM and VerifyNow P&E revenue and analyzer booking goals for assigned geographic area. Direct management responsibility of PBM Specialists (to include hiring, training and developing strong strategic sales plans), OPEX/P&L, and Key Performance Indicators.
Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities
- Develop PBM Specialist team through a well designed PBM training program and proper activity/sales cycle mangement.
- Achieve US ROTEM/VerifyNow reagent sales budget as defined by the commission plan (includes annual growth outlined by annual budget) through proper targeting, new analyzer implementation, expansion of testing in new departments and physician enagement (education, workflow asistance, KOL development).
- Achieve a <60 day period for clinically live analyzers for both ROTEM and VerifyNow as per corporate goals. Implementation plan should be developed and completed to include education, connectivity, clinical workflow improvements (i.e., order set creation) and other implementation activities.
- Develop Regional/National references and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) through identification of individuals involved in PBM programs or viscoelastic testing programs that can potentially influence peers in the market place.
- Conduct customer reagent utilization reviews with PBM Specialists on a scheduled basis (weekly/monthly) to properly identify opportunities and develop a strategic approach to grow reagent utilizalation.
- Plan and organizes the work of PBM Specialists and monitors daily/weekly activities.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to PBM Specialists.
- Manage and control the cost of sales (T&E expenditures) for PBM Specialists.
- Support PBM sales cycles cycles by developing and presenting healthcare economics (HE) analysis, clinical product information and PBM workflow analysis summaries.
- Collaborate with the Patient Blood Management (PBM) Business Unit Director to accurately forecast monthly the analyzers and reagents for VerifyNow and Rotem.
- Collaborate with Corporate Account Directors (CADs) to provide clinical product and healthcare economics presentations to Group Purchasing Organizations (GOPs) and integrate health netwroks (IHNs).
- Plan and coordinate trade shows and sales meetings for PBM Specialists and provides PBM Specialists coverage for national shows

Qualifications
Minimum Knowledge & Experience required for the position:
- Bachelor degree in Scientific discipline required.
- Minimum of five (5) years PBM clinical sales management experience or related sales management experience required.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of PBM sales experience required.
Management has the discretion of substituting relevant work experience for a degree and/or making exceptions to the years of experience requirement.

Travel Requirements:
- Up to 80% travel
The annual base salary range for this role is currently $130,000 to $160,000. Individual employee compensation will ultimately depend on factors including education, relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, and particular business needs.
This role is eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401k plan retirement benefits with an employer match, as well as paid vacation and sick leave. Our sales roles are eligible for participation in a commission plan and our management, and select professional roles, are eligible for a performance-based bonus.

People Manager Accountabilities:
Effectively carries out the expectations of Werfen People Managers as defined in Werfen's Role of the Manager program. Among others this includes maintaining regular, at minimum once a month, and transparent communication with the team through effective use of formal one-on-one meetings with direct reports and team meets. Managing performance issues and conflict proactively; uses judgement in consulting with department leadership and Human Resources. Responsibility for the team's compliance in terms of training, and fulfilment of their tasks and objectives as well as onboarding of new employees and development of the existing team.
