Overview
Job Summary
The IT Operations Area Manager will be in charge of comprehensively and strategically managing the area's projects and operations, ensuring customer satisfaction, providing a high level of service and maximizing efficiency and profitability.
• Manage the planning and implementation projects. Maintain all appropriate project deliverables and responsibilities; for example, project scheduling, risk management, change management, issue management and status reporting.
• Monitor project implementations for accuracy and timeliness to ensure the focus on successfully achieving the project goals.
• Oversee all aspects of execution, including identifying and solving problems. The IT Ops Area Manager will ultimately be responsible for assuring the projects are on budget and on time and delivered with the expected value to the practices and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities
• Global and strategic control of area projects.
• Strategic and global planning and its review with the Area Manager.
• Ensuring customer satisfaction on services.
• Perform periodical IT Operations planification.
• Review, support and communicate IT Operation reviews,
• Ensure operations are in compliance with company policies and best practices.
• Ensure that up-to-date, relevant and sufficient technical documentation of recent implantations is available to the IT Support.
• Guarantee the activity report by the team.
• Supervising and controlling IT Operations KPIs.
• Other duties as assigned by the IT Operations Manager,
• Participate in pre-sale activities and in the response and preparation of tender documents.
• Selection and performance of human resources.
• Manage and evaluate human resources, define training needs and strategies,
• Control and validate expenses for team members.
• Vacation approval and staff backup arrangement.
• Ensure adoption of Quality and Regulatory policies.
• Adopt the Corporate Ethic Code.
Networking/Key relationships
To be determined based on department needs, to include interactions such as:
• Good communication with IT Ops Specialists, Business Unit Manager HITS, Product Specialist, Product Managers and IT Support Staff.
• Good communication with Multi-online and Integration Manufacturer Staff.
• Fluent relationship with others business lines and their needs.
• Fluent relationship with the Area Managers, the Key Account Managers and Sales Application Specialist HITS in Werfen Spain and Portugal.
Qualifications
Minimum Knowledge & Experience required for the position
• Education: Bachelor related to technical knowledge, industrial organization knowledge or IVD knowledge.
• Experience: Project Manager Professional Certification or experience in IT Project Management (More than 3 years).
Knowledge regarding clinic laboratory organization (minimum 5 years’ experience is required).
• Additional Skills/Knowledge:
• VMWare Administration Certification or experience in Virtual Machines.
• Knowledge and experience in Operating Systems Administration.
• Oracle Administration Certification or experience in Database Administration.
• WildFly Administration Certification or experience in Applications Servers.
• HL7 Protocol Certification or experience in communications Protocols • LEAN certification or experience in process optimization.
• Has to prove good track of success managing people.
• Language:
• Fluent English
• Spanish / Portuguese

Travel requirements
• Within the job's Location Area: Up to 65% of the annual working time.
• Within the scope of Spain/Portugal: Up to 30% of the annual working time.

Among others this includes maintaining regular, at minimum once a month, and transparent communication with the team through effective use of formal one-on one meetings with direct reports and team meets. Managing performance issues and conflict proactively; uses judgement in consulting with department leadership and Human Resources. Responsibility for the team´s compliance in terms of training, and fulfilment of their tasks and objectives as well as onboarding of new employees and development of the existing team.
