Overview

Reporting to the VP of Manufacturing China, the Senior Integration Director will be the driving force behind the strategic localization of our production operations to China. This high-level management role requires a leader with a strong background in manufacturing operations, supply chain optimization, international business practices, MPA regulatory and cross-cultural team management. The Integration Director will oversee the transition of production from overseas facilities to China, ensuring seamless integration while upholding the company’s standards of quality and efficiency. The role may later become Manufacturing Excellence Director.

Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities

  • PMO office: Build a PMO team per transfer projects’ progress, setup procedures or standardize the transfer project practice including, but not limited to, project initiation, planning, execution and closing. Supervises a staff of project management, conducts performance appraisals and makes recommendationsfor promotions, new hires, salary actions, disciplinary actions in accordance with company policies and procedures. 
  • Project Management Greenfield production build up: Lead cross-functional teams to ensure high quality and timely and budget-compliant establishment of local production facilities, including site selection, construction, and operational setup.
  • Project Management CMO production transfer: Lead cross-functional teams to ensure maintenance of quality and fast transfer of manufacturing to Contract Manufacturer Organization. 
  • Digital Factory: Assist the VP of Manufacturing with digital factory strategy, establish a digital foundation during the Greenfield project, and oversee digitalization initiatives.
  • Strategic execution: Provide support and advice on the localization strategy and accountable for strategy execution, coordinate and maintain the transfer project priorities and pipeline: setting clear strategic goals, ensure necessary resources are effectively allocated, develop action plans and monitor execution.
  • Change management: Drive successful localization execution using change management: communicating, planning, executing and sustaining.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all aspects of the localization process comply with Chinese regulatory requirements as well as international trade laws and practices.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement quality control systems that meet both local and international standards, ensuring that the localized production maintains the company's reputation for high-quality products.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Support VP of manufacturing in developing a high-performing local team capable of meeting the challenges of production localization, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify potential risks associated with localization, and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
  • Communication and alignment: Work closely with CMO, local manufacturing and overseas headquarters ensuring effective communication and alignment across all levels of the organization of the localization project.

Qualifications

Minimum Knowledge & Experience required for the position

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science (Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry) or Engineering. 
  • Master in Business Administration (MBA) is highly desirable. 
  • Seven years in operations and process improvement of manufacturing and/or services.
  • Process Improvement background and/or project management experience is desirable. 
  • A solid understanding of business systems, computer hardware and software
