Overview

Job Summary

The Clinical Marketing - Microbiology develops and executes clinical marketing strategies that strengthen the clinical value, scientific evidence, and differentiated positioning of the Microbiology in Iberia. Working closely with the Product Managers, the role converts clinical data, realworld insights, and customer needs into impactful value messages, tools, and educational initiatives that support sales performance and clinical credibility.

This position plays a crucial role in promoting scientific understanding of our assays and developing content to promote their value to our customers. In addition, will be responsible for coordinating internal resources to drive resolution to complex customer product investigations, resolve technical issues not related to complaints to achieve affiliate and customer satisfaction, and interfacing within and outside Werfen, including responsibility for effective technical communications, reporting, and presentations.

Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities

1. Clinical Value & Evidence Based Marketing

• Develop local clinical value propositions based on published evidence, product performance, clinical studies, and realworld practice.

• Translate complex clinical information into clear, compliant, and customer relevant value messages aligned with Product Management strategy.

• Connect Microbiology testing to outputs to laboratorio decision making, workflow efficiency, and economic impact to support value based selling.

2. Clinical Content & Marketing Tools

• Develop, customize, and maintain clinical marketing materials: value decks, study digests, application notes, clinical dossiers, and congress communication.

• Ensure consistency of clinical messaging across all customer facing channels.

• Provide evidence based input to tenders and strategic accounts, emphasizing guidelines, critical care workflows, and clinical differentiation.

3. Sales Enablement & Clinical Support

• Equip Sales and Service teams with uptodate clinical arguments, tools, and training to confidently address Microbiology related questions.

• Deliver targeted and taylored clinical marketing training programs and support key customer engagements.

• Provide daily application related clinical support within approved claims (intended use, interpretation, workflow).

4. KOL & Scientific Community Engagement

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clinical stakeholders.

• Participate in scientific discussions on guidelines, diagnostic pathways, and unmet needs related to Microbiology testing.

• Support scientific meetings and educational initiatives ensuring coherent, credible clinical positioning.

5. Studies, Insights & CrossFunctional Collaboration

• Support the local activation of clinical studies and evaluations.

• Capture structured clinical insights from customers, KOLs, and societies, channeling them to Product Management.

• Collaborate with the Product Managers to develop joint clinical narratives, training, and value communication across shared clinical areas.

• May support selected product management and field specialist activities when required, including sales support, training, implementation, and clinical adoption initiatives.

Qualifications

Minimum Knowledge & Experience required for the position:

Education

Bachelor´s Degree in Medicine (MD), Microbiology, Pharmacology, Medical Technology or related clinical discipline, desired in infectious diseases

PhD valuable

•Experience

Experience related with clinical microbiology laboratory

Experience in infectious diseases is a must.

Experience in Microbiology laboratories is a plus

Experience related with ER, ICU and primary care is a plus

Minimum 5 years’ experience in either hospital (or healthcare facilities), IVD laboratory or pharmacy, Marketing Department/Clinical Affairs in a multinational company

•Additional Skills/Knowledge

Languages:

Travel requirements:

Up to 40%, may include international travel and/or travel on short notice.
