Overview

Position Summary:

The Shipping Clerk is responsible for accurately selecting product, entering orders, packing, labeling, and shipping finished goods.

Key Accountabilities

 

Essential Functions:

  •  Pick all orders according to First In First Out (FIFO) methods and customer requirement.  Review paperwork; verify items, lot/serial numbers, and quantities match picked items for every order. 
  • Promptly and accurately enter all order items, lot/serial numbers, quantities, and shipping information into the companys Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)/warehouse system and appropriate shipping programs. 
  • Pack all orders according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); ensure the use of appropriate packaging materials and labels, and the compliant handling and storage conditions for all items. 
  • Ensure customer shipping requirements/instructions are met. 
  • Replenish locations with product; consolidate items to create space as needed. 
  • Continually maintain a high level of accuracy. 
  • Assist with periodic cycle counts. 
  • Actively participate in annual physical inventory as required. 
  • Immediately report all non-conforming, expired and damaged product found in Quality Control accepted locations. 
  • Identify issues and other warehouse problems; promptly notify Team Leader or Supervisor of all problems. 
  • Support all efforts and procedures to maintain optimal warehouse conditions. 
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation as required, in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and all related SOPs. 
  • Maintain safe working conditions at all times; adhere to all safety policies and procedures  Ensure warehouse and related areas are continually kept clean. 
  • Support efforts to prevent mix-up of products, materials, and other items so cycle and inventory counts are continually accurate. 
  • Ensure and maintain compliance with the Companys quality system requirements through training and adherence to policies, procedures and processes. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

 

Minimum Knowledge & Experience Required for the Position:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. 
  • At least two (2) years previous related warehouse experience; previous experience in a regulated medical device manufacturing or pharmaceutical environment preferred.  Understanding of inventory and FIFO practices. 
  • Familiarity with GDP and GMP a plus. 
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, large Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) system, and warehouse management, and vendor ship programs (UPS, FedEx, etc.) preferred. 
  • Good written and verbal communication. 
  • Ability to work as part of a team. 
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail.
