Introduction

This public country-by-country report has been prepared in accordance with applicable regulations, with the aim to provide a transparent overview of the Werfen Group’s activities and tax contribution across the jurisdictions in which it operates. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the information contained herein is subject to inherent limitations and, accordingly, should be interpreted with appropriate caution, in particular when analysing individual jurisdictions or attempting to draw conclusions regarding the Group’s overall tax position. In this regard, among other considerations, and on a non-exhaustive basis, consideration should be given to differences between income tax paid and accrued, effective tax rates by jurisdiction, and potential variations in profitability across jurisdictions, which may reflect differing business models, functional profiles, or market conditions. Similarly, caution is warranted when analysing employee headcount on a standalone jurisdictional basis without considering the functional profiles of the entities involved, as well as when deriving certain ratios without taking into account the scale of such operations.
